Spotted eating Kit Kats during a match at 2020 US Open Wanted to be a football player until he started playing tennis Moved to Seoul at age 16, where he went to high school with fellow ATP player Duckhee Lee Enjoys going to the karaoke to sing with friends on his days off

    Achieved career-high No. 52 after winning 1st ATP Tour title in 1st final at 2021 Astana (d. Duckworth)

    Added 2nd ATP Tour title at 2023 Adelaide-2 (d. Bautista Agut), becoming 1st Korean to win multiple titles and 1st LL to win a title since Cecchinato at 2018 Budapest
